With a backdrop of a Eastern Harbour skyline, as distant as a eyes go, a Sewri mudflats reason a overwhelming view. As thousands of larger and obtuse flamingos comfortable adult in a winter sun, we realize a gracefulness of Nature.

Rendezvous with Flamingos II: Watch and Learn about Flamingos is a debate organized by iNaturewatch Foundation in response to a shining feedback their initial flamingo watch got final month. “The thought is to make Mumbaikars conclude these nature’s guest who revisit us each year,” says Dr V Shubhalaxmi, owner and handling trustee, iNaturewatch Foundation.

In Mumbai, a sighting started in mid-1990s during a Bombay Port Trust Sewri area. They are seen in assemblage via a Greater Mumbai seashore in Sewri, Uran, Vashi, Airoli, Nerul, Thane, and Vasai and make for a fantastic view.

“They arrive in a city by mid-November from a Rann of Kutch in Gujarat that is their tact ground. The race builds adult by Jan and compartment Apr is a good time to see them. They are best sighted closer to a shores, dual hours before high tide/low tide,” informs Dr Shubhalaxmi.

You’ll also get to see other birds like a Greater Spotted Eagle, Sandpiper, Heron and Black-Bellied Tern in unison.
