The makers of ‘Udta Punjab’ pronounced they finally got a bury certificate in palm on Wednesday evening, and a film is all set to strike a screens on Friday.
A post on a central chatter hoop of Balaji Motion pictures, one of a co-producers of Abhishek Chaubey’s film, read: “And UdtaPunjab finally gets a UdtaCertificate!!
“Let’s fly high in 2 days!”
Meanwhile, Manoj Desai, Executive Director of Gaiety Galaxy and Maratha Mandir Cinema, told IANS that a certificate came “at around 7 in a dusk and now a allege engagement will open from tomorrow (Thursday) morning”.
The pre-release hum of “Udta Punjab” is measureless given a authorised fight that followed a Central Board of Film Certification’s (CBFC) sequence for a whopping 89 cuts to make a film fit for release.
The censors brought down that series to 13 later. Eventually, however, a Bombay High Court ruled it could recover with only one stage cut.
The film, co-produced by Phanton Films and Balaji Motion Pictures, facilities Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
