Fashion engineer Manish Malhotra has bagged a Best Original Costume Design Award for “Mughal-e-Azam: The Musical” during a Broadway World India Awards
Fashion engineer Manish Malhotra has bagged a Best Original Costume Design Award for “Mughal-e-Azam: The Musical” during a Broadway World India Awards.
“This is a 35th endowment in my career and we am really overwhelmed. This is a initial time we have designed for a low-pitched play and to get an endowment for that has been really touching. It has been a good knowledge to work on this low-pitched spectacular and also been really severe as 600 costumes were required,” Malhotra pronounced in a statement.
The designer, who has styled a likes of stars like Sridevi and Kareena Kapoor Khan, says a lot of tough work went into a creations.
“It has been days and nights of work and we went all out to use pristine fabrics and perplexing embroideries make a routine and a tour worthwhile,” Malhotra said.
The musical, destined by Feroz Abbas Khan and constructed by Shapoorji Pallonji, is formed on a K. Asif-directorial “Mughal-e-Azam” that starred thespian Dilip Kumar and pleasing Madhubala.
“Working with Feroz who is a fanciful acclaimed play executive and Shapoorji done it all tremendously gratifying experience,” he added.
“Mughal-e-Azam: The Musical” will lapse to solace Delhi audiences, party a 100th uncover during a Feb 1-11 report during a Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
