The Chaubey-helmed film, that deals with a drug problem in Punjab, ran into difficulty after a bury house suggested mixed cuts. The matter after reached a Bombay High Court, that privileged a film with only one cut.
“It was a really formidable experience. we only wish that no other filmmaker goes by something like this. The good thing is that a film released, people watched it and appreciated it,” he told reporters here on a sidelines of an event.
“I would like to interest to authorities and Government to find a approach so that such a conditions does not arise again,” he said.
Replying to a query, a 39-year-old Director pronounced he saw no swindling in a part or in a “leak” of a film. Those concerned in a film’s trickle should be brought to book, he said.
Chaubey wished a “spirit of unity” (the whole film companionship upheld him) that was seen during a long-drawn quarrel over “Udta Punjab” continues in future.
