Filmmaker Steven Spielberg credits late actor Robin Williams for assisting him get by a “trauma” of filming “Schindler’s List”. “Robin called me,” Spielberg pronounced during a Tribeca Film Festival’s 25th-anniversary screening of a film on Thursday. “Robin knew what we was going through. Once a week he called me on schedule. He knew accurately what time it was in Poland, what time it was in San Francisco… and he would do 15 mins of stand-up on a phone, and we would giggle hysterically since we had to recover so much,” pronounced Spielberg.

“The approach Robin is on a telephone, he would always hang adult on a loudest, best giggle you’d give him. He’d never contend goodbye, only hang adult on a biggest laugh,” he added. The emotionally-draining routine of directing a film paid off for Spielberg when he brought home Oscars for Best Picture and Best Director, though he didn’t feel like he could celebrate.

“That night wasn’t unequivocally a jubilee during all. we don’t feel this film is a celebration.
