Operation Radd-ul-Fassad: Terror bid foiled in Bajaur Agency

A day after a lethal self-murder blast in Lahore, Frontier Corps (FC) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) conducted on Tuesday an intelligence-based operation (IBO), foiling a vital militant activity in Bajaur Agency, a military’s media wing reported.
According to a Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a vast cache of arms, ammunition, explosives – including sub-machine guns, RPG 7, entirely prepared self-murder jackets, remote control bomb, 11 boxes of ball-bearings, grenade and communication equipment, recovered in Duagai area of Tehsil Mamond.
While visiting the Lahore blast victims on Tuesday, Army arch General Qamar Javed Bajwa said informal actors and antagonistic comprehension agencies were fully concerned to use apprehension as process tool.
“Concurrent blasts during Kabul and Lahore are testimony of a position that both Pakistan and Afghanistan are victims of terrorism,” Gen Qamar was quoted by a ISPR as saying.
“[The dual countries] will continue to humour if these actors are means to use Afghanistan domain with impunity,” he added.
Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, or Elimination of Discord, was launched in Feb after a pointy uptick in militant attacks in a country.
