The latest in a collection are healthy bars and bites from Nutritio. The try was started by Kadambari Gupte and her mother-in-law Supriya Patkar in February. The Vashi-based twin creates all fresh, once an sequence is placed.

We sampled all of their offerings. The gummy Bumble Rumble Berry was a favourite. The somewhat sour, chikki-like bar was packaged with berries – dusty cranberry, blueberry and mulberry. Our chocolate mania was full by a Choco Coco, that had cocoa powder as a surrogate for chocolate and almonds. It was crunchy and juicy with a gummy benevolence from dates.

The Nutty Bar was formally crunchy and filling. It was pressed with almonds, walnuts, cashew and pistachio. The Mix Seeds bar had pumpkin, sunflower, and chia seeds with dates and oats. It had a strenuous ambience of til (sesame seeds), reminding us of til ke laddoos, though didn’t get a thumbs-up from us.

All a bars are sugar-free – organic sugar is combined for sweetness; dates or oats are used as a contracting agent, and can be customised. Nutritio also creates mini bars, weighing about 20 gm. The bars stay for 3 weeks if refrigerated or stored in a cold and dry place.
