India’s Champions Trophy patrol announced: Rohit, Shami return; Pandey creates cut

A fit-again batsman Rohit Sharma expectedly returned to a side as inhabitant selectors offering no surprises in a 15-member Indian cricket patrol for subsequent month’s Champions Trophy in England.

Rohit, after recuperating from a thigh damage he postulated during a Test array opposite England final year, has transposed opener K L Rahul, who has been laid low by a shoulder injury. Manish Pandey has been drafted in as an additional batsman in a 15-member squad, to be led by Virat Kohli. Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be a wicket-keeper in a side.

Overall, a selectors kept faith in a patrol that degraded England in a home array progressing this year. India will play their Champions Trophy lung-opener opposite arch-rivals Pakistan on Jun 4. The eventuality itself will get underway on Jun 1.
