Sri Lankan poser spinner Akila Dananjaya has voiced compensation during his prevalent six-wicket transport opposite India in a second ODI though pronounced he would have been happier had his bid directed his group to victory.

“We would have been happy had we won a game. we am unequivocally unhappy during a moment. we would have returned a happy male had we won,” pronounced Dananjaya after holding 6/54, his lass five-wicket transport in ODIs, in a second One-dayer opposite India that Sri Lanka mislaid by 3 wickets.

The spinner took 6 wickets for 11 runs in only 21 balls as he saw off India’s center order. He claimed 3 wickets in a 18th over. Four of his dismissals came off a wrong ones, that Indian batsmen simply couldn’t pick.

“I am an off-spinner. Wicket holding bowls are leg-spin and a googly. we play a lot of off spin. Work with Piyal Wijetunga (Sri Lankan spin coach) and if we need to play variations, Piyal tells me to do so as well,” pronounced Dananjaya.

“I realised that a off-spin was not assisting much. So we motionless to get behind to my variations. The aim we had to urge wasn’t too most either. So we had to take wickets. we bowled a lot of variations and it went unequivocally well,” he added.

Sri Lanka eventually mislaid a game, interjection to a 100-run dominant eighth-wicket partnership between Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The twin discovered India from a unsafe 131/7.

Dananjaya was taken off bowling after 8 overs and that authorised a Indian span to settle down.

“They were set and we suspicion improved to get behind after on if someone breaks a partnership. We wanted to win a game.

Once wickets come along we also gained confidence. But Bhuvi and Dhoni were superb. They batted unequivocally good opposite a bowlers. Nothing most of a change on a wicket,” he said.

Sri Lanka’s halt manager Nic Pothas said, “Captain on a margin has a tummy feeling. How he is going to use his bowlers. Upul (Tharanga) would have kept him behind anticipating for a wicket. Once we pronounce to Upul during a finish of a day we will get to know better.”

Dananjaya assimilated a group only forward of a second ODI after his wedding.

“Wedding was in a afternoon. When we got behind to a group hotel it was around 11:30 in a night. we wanted to strech progressing than that though it took a small longer. The marriage was during Moratuwa. Finished around 4pm and we were bit late when we came,” he said.
