Champions Trophy: India beat Bangladesh by 240 runs in second warm-up game

India dished out a winning all-round opening to palm out an annoying 240-run defeat against Bangladesh in their second ICC Champions Trophy warm-up diversion in London on Tuesday.

Put into bat, India posted a challenging 324-7, roving on Dinesh Karthik’s stylish 94 off 77 balls and Hardik Pandya’s whrilwind 80 off 54 balls during Kennington Oval here. 

Shikhar Dhawan (60) also got runs underneath his belt opposite a peculiarity Bangladesh conflict comprising Mustafizur Rahaman (1/53), Rubel Hossain (3/50) and Taskin Ahmed (0/45). 

India seamers afterwards left Bangladesh in rags with Umesh Yadav (3/16) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/13) shortening their rivals to 22 for 6 in 7.3 overs. Mohammad Shami (1/17), Jasprit Bumrah (1/32), Hardik (1/2) and R Ashwin (1/2) also contributed with one wicket each.

India had degraded New Zealand by 45 run in their first warm-up diversion forward of a prestigious contest where they will demeanour to urge a title.

India will open their debate opposite arch-rivals Pakistan on Jun 4.
