46-year-old PIO saved by ‘Hindu culture’ from jail tenure in US for stabbing wife

Houston: A 46-year-old Indian-origin male in a US who stabbed his “overweight” mother twice in a stomach has been spared a jail judgment since a decider concluded that his family would face “ostracism” as partial of their Hindu culture.

Navinkumar Patel, from Kansas City, stabbed his mother with a pocketknife as she ate a play of cereal, and subsequently told military he had finished it since his mother was “overweight.”

Patel was arrested in Jun 2015 after he stabbed his mother during Lawrence’s Super 8 Motel, that he owns. He pleaded no competition to transgression charges of attempted second-degree murder and rapist threat.

Famiy pleads
