What’s a B-Town bond to Korean zombie thriller Peninsula?
- Updated: November 14, 2020
The Korean zombie thriller, Peninsula, that releases in theatres after this month, has an Indian connect. The film’s trailer has been cut with a credentials measure from Anurag Kashyap’s Ugly (2013) starring Rahul Bhat, Ronit Roy and Vineet Kumar Singh. Directed by Yeon Sung-ho, Peninsula is a supplement to Train to Busan (2016).
Says Kashyap, “I am a large suitor of Yeon Sung-ho and his work. we had a good happening of assembly him during a Cannes Film Festival in 2016. we am intensely happy and vehement about my film ‘Ugly’ song being used for his film trailer in India. The song of ‘Ugly’ fits a trailer so well.”
An central Cannes Film Festival 2020 selection, Peninsula was to make a universe premiere during a event, that was put off due to a pandemic. It stars Gang Dong-won and Lee Jung-hyun.
