Police in Rockford, Illinois, responded to a sharpened during Don Carter Lanes bowling alley on Dec. 26, 2020. When they arrived, a shooter was still in a building.

At 7:13 p.m. CT The Rockford Police Department — @RockfordPD — tweeted:

Active shooter review nearby Don Carter Lanes on E. State Street. Avoid a area.

Shortly thereafter, Don Carter Lanes asked for prayers on Facebook. Their plea, posted during 7:22 p.m., has 322 comments and 177 shares after being online a integrate of hours.

Carol O’Connor-Zeinz was astounded a bowling alley was open. She has suspicion it sealed on a 20th. Monica Tucker replied she believed they were open for Off-track betting (OTB) and take out.

ShootingRockford Police Chief Dan O’Shea settled that a sharpened seems to be random.

About an hour later, @RockfordPD posted an update;  A 37-year-old white masculine think is in custody. At this time, they are not seeking other sharpened suspects.

No names of a sharpened victims have been expelled — dual teenagers had died.

A iniquitous act of assault by an immorality doormat took trusting life tonight.  The whole bowling village mourns a meaningless detriment of life and prays for a families. God, greatfully be with their friends and families.

Thank we to law coercion for your drastic actions that prevented serve detriment of life.
A candlelight burial will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 29th during 6:30 pm Please park in a East or West lots and accumulate in a North lot.
