The DOD news indicated a shark seemed to be unscathed as it changed away. After reviewing a video, a USCG believes a shark was a Long-fin Makeo or a Pelagic shark.

Crew members pronounced a shark did not seem to be injured. They consider it assimilated a few smaller sharks and swam away.
