Gotham Awards to honour Chadwick Boseman, Viola Davis with behaving tribute

Chadwick Boseman, who died in Aug after a conflict with cancer, and Oscar leader Viola Davis are set to be celebrated during a 30th book of Gotham Awards. The awards, presented by a Independent Filmmaker Project, will honour a Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom co-stars during an annual ceremony, scheduled to be hold on Jan 11, 2021.

Boseman, famous for starring in cinema like 42, Marshall and Black Panther, will accept a post-mortem Actor Tribute. Davis, a Oscar-winning star of cinema like The Help, Fences and Widows, will be celebrated with a Actress Tribute.

Netflix’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom will symbol a final cinematic tour for Boseman. The movie, an instrumentation of Aug Wilson’s award-winning play of a same name, facilities Davis in a pretension role.
