Binyavanga Wainaina Kenyan Gay Rights Activist and Author Dies during 48

WainainaBinyavanga Wainaina, a happy award-winning author and romantic died on May 21, 2019. He was 48 years old.

Wainaina died in a sanatorium in Nairobi after pang from a brief illness. In 2015, he suffered from a stroke.

In 2002 Wainaina won for African essay a Caine Prize for “Discovering Home” that was a brief story. He was also a owner of Kwani, a literary magazine.

In 2014, Time Magazine named Wainaina one of a 100 many successful people for his activism for happy rights.

After winning a honor, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie pronounced he “Humanized and demystified homosexuality.”

Wainaina, a Kenyan, was one of a initial high form people to come out as being gay.
