Bangor Business Owner Loses Vendors for Request of Proud Boys Merchandise

Kathy Harvey — a owners of Furniture, Mattresses and More — mislaid several vendors after a post she finished on Facebook. On Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, Harvey asked her vendors if during slightest one of them would furnish hoodies and sweatshirts with a far-right organisation — Proud Boys — logo.

Harvey’s business is located nearby a Bangor Mall in Maine. In her post, she also asked her vendors if they would supplement a word “stand back, mount by.” This ask did not go over good with some of her vendors.

Another businessman who pulled out of a Bangor business was Pamela Hanberry, executive of a animal rescue use Forgotten Felines of Maine. Hanberry wishes a Bangor store and staff no mistreat — she usually prefers to not associate a classification with  “racism and hate.”

Also enmity themselves from Harvey’s business is a Bangor Mall’s management.

Kathy Harvey owns her building and operates exclusively of Bangor Mall. Her views do not simulate those of a team.

Harvey has reported that she had 3 vendors lift out of her investiture as of Jan 6. The Furniture, Mattresses and More store can reason roughly 150 vendors in a crafts section.

In a past years, Harvey has brought a lot of business to a Bangor area’s qualification community. In Nov of 2019, her qualification satisfactory brought roughly 22,000 people to a Bangor Mall. Harvey changed her store into a dull space that Macy’s left in 2018.
