Another Horse Dies during Santa Anita, 3rd in 9 Days, Bringing a Total to 26

HorseOn May 26, 2019, another equine was euthanized during Santa Anita racetrack located in Southern California. This was a 26th equine genocide given Dec 26, 2018, and a third genocide of a equine for tutor Hall of celebrity inductee Jerry Hollendorfer.

There have been 3 deaths during Santa Anita of thoroughbreds in a past 9 days.

During a 5 1/2 furlong race, Kochees, a gelding who was 9-years- aged was participating in his 49th competition value $10,000. The equine had won 11 races and warranted over $245,000.

Mario Gutierrez, a manoeuvre had only left a distant spin and had only entered a tip of a widen when a gelding harmed his left leg. He was taken by outpost from a track, and his leg was splinted.

The equine was placed in a case overnight, hoping, he would stabilize. The damage was not a devalue fracture. Career finale medicine was being deliberate to save a horse’s life.

After examining a gelding, surgeons found a equine mislaid a upsurge of blood in his leg, and euthanasia was a benevolent choice.

Track orator spoke with KABC on May 26 and told a Los Angeles formed ABC radio hire that “Everything was attempted to save a horse, though unfortunately he had to be euthanized.”
