Actor Timothee Chalamet says his mom was disturbed when she saw how most weight he had mislaid for his purpose as a drug addict in “Beautiful Boy”.

Chalamet reveals he researched drug use and abuse before auditioning for a partial in a wish he would land a role.
“It was a book they’d been perplexing to get done for 10 years. Every man actor my age had left adult for it. I’ve been lucky, though a lot of a bigger Hollywood cinema like ‘Spider-Man’, things like that, we didn’t get. So, for ‘Beautiful Boy’, we did a lot of investigate and review about drugs, and we brought a books to my initial assembly with a director.”
“I could see in his eyes that he was thinking, ‘This child is nuts!’ But we felt this film – a theme of drug obsession – was so important. we wanted to make an anti-glorification-of-drugs movie. And we consider we did,” Chalamet said.
