ABD calls me kaka too, says former masseur of Indian group Ramesh Mane

In his retirement video yesterday, AB De Villiers did not forget to appreciate his teammates, coaches and all those who were concerned with his cricket

Tributes flew thick and quick for AB de Villiers as shortly as a South African luminary announced his startle retirement from general cricket yesterday. Ramesh Mane (fondly famous as Mane kaka), a former masseur of a Indian group and now with a Royal Challengers Bangalore, was dumbfounded when sensitive about a ex-SA skipper’s retirement. “Just a few days ago, he took that marvellous single-handed locate [against Sunrisers Hyderabad] on a range line,” Mane told mid-day as he took a few seconds for a news to penetrate in.’

Mane is not astounded by De Villiers’ arrangement of gratitude. “People could bond with him; everybody who is during a belligerent could do that. Just like chants of ‘Sachin, Sachin’, people would also intone ‘AB, AB’. He can hypnotise fans with his game. He is really sold about his training and aptness regime. His joining to a group is great. “There are no dramas with him and he goes about his business on and off a margin but seeking attention. He is a really unselfish cricketer,” resolved Mane.
